Ben Thompson, Dr

Ben has worked in education for over 20 years, originally as a secondary teacher and senior leader before moving into Higher and Adult Education. He was awarded his doctorate in 2025 for research exploring the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and how this prepares individuals for the role of Headteacher. He has a particular interest in the regulation and ethical use of AI and how this is implemented and governed in Higher Education and other learning institutions.
He is currently the Director of Education and Quality Assurance at an adult training provider and specialises in AI and Cyber Security.
